What is a podcast, exactly?
A podcast is a multimedia file (usually audio or video) that is designed to be distributed over the internet for personal playback on mp3 players or on your computer. An easy way to think about it is to consider it a radio show for the internet. Instead of tuning in and listening to it on a specific station at a specific time, you get the opportunity to listen to it whenever and however.

I don't have an iPod. Is this ok?
Yes. Our podcast files are generic mp3 files and will play anywhere. You can listen to them on your computer, on a portable player, or even burn them to a CD for listening in your car or home stereo.

What does it mean to subscribe?
Think of it like subscribing to a magazine. Once you're a subscriber, the magazine is brought to your mailbox. You don't have to go out and do anything in order to get a new issue. Podcast subsciptions are no different. Once subscribed, your computer will go out and get any new issues (episodes) for you automatically.

How long does it take to download?
Depending on your internet connection speed, it could take quite a while. Those of you with a broadband connection should download podcasts in a few minutes.

How do I subscribe?
Here are the steps to subscribe:

1. Do you have iTunes? You probably already do, and if so, skip to step number two. If you can't download iTunes, scroll to the bottom of this page. But if you can, download iTunes for free. iTunes is available for Mac or Windows (Windows 2000, XP). Download iTunes here.

2. Look for any of the "Subscribe to Podcast" links across this site. When you come across a "Subscribe to Podcast" link, click it. If your computer asks, let it launch iTunes.

3. iTunes will then open up to our podcast page on the iTunes Store. You then have the ability to get individual episodes of the podcast, or you can subscribe to the entire show. We recommend clicking the "Subscribe" button located with iTunes.

4. iTunes will then begin downloading the latest episode of the podcast. To listen, click on your Podcasts source button within iTunes and you'll see them all right there, ready to be listened to.

5. That's it. If you plug an iPod in, they'll automatically be transfered to your player. When new episodes become available, iTunes will download them for you. Enjoy.

I'm at a computer that won't let me install iTunes. Help!
This happens. Some work computers won't let you install new software, and some computers aren't new enough to run iTunes. This is ok. Simply browse to the podcast pages on our website and you can individually download and listen to the files by clicking on the "Download here" links within each post. It's not as convienient as subscribing, but it gets the job done.
